Due to the fact that this is an important part of the system, the unit filter must be replaced or cleaned every so often in order to keep things clean.
Red flags your filter has very little life left
- The air filter looks dusty and should be replaced today
- If you hold it up to the light, it cannot show on the other side a very dirty air filter
- It is advised to replace your air filter about every three months to help purify the air indoors
