The unit filter was designed for removing microscopic dust and other tiny particles from the air in the house. This filtering system will help keep the unit dust-free and help it be a lot better at doing its job while, at the same time, filtering the air you breathe in your house. Due to the amount of dust in the house, the unit filter must be simply replaced or perhaps washed at least twice a year if not more, depending on how much you use it.
