The motor spins the blade which produces the stream of air from the system. The fan blade also draws air inside of the unit which helps out with keeping the main unit cool and not overheated while it is performing its duty.
Signs your fan will not live much longer
- The fan blade appears bent or beat up and in very bad shape
- The blade generates a whine noise and causes discomfort
- The wall system refuses to blow the correct amount of air in order to achieve the proper temperature
