A changeable air filter was created for filtering out dust and other tiny bits as it passes through. The filter can both keep the unit clean and make it operate more efficient while, at the same time, filtering the air you breathe in your house. During regular maintenance the air filter must be swapped out for a new one or perhaps washed at least twice a year if not more, depending on how much you use it.
Cues of a weakening dust filter
- The air filter looks dusty and should be replaced immediately
- With a light behind the air filter, the light is unable to break through to the other side of a completely clogged filter
- It is highly advised to replace your air filter about every 90 days to help prevent mold and bacteria build-up
