The air filter is there for filtering tiny dust fragments and other miniscule particles from the inside air inside the home. This can both keep the unit dust-free and help it be more efficient while also cleaning the air you breathe in your house. Because it is really easy to do, the filter should probably be changed out or possible scrubbed clean every so often depending on how much you use it.
Symptoms the dust filter needs replacing ASAP
- The main air filter appears filthy and crammed with dust very badly
- It is recommended to switch out the air filter in your unit about every three months in order for the machine to run more efficient and to breathe easier inside
- If you were to lift up the filter, the light does not shine on the opposite side of a dirty filter
