The air filter is responsible for filtering tiny dust fragments and other particles from the air in the house. The filter can both make the unit cleaner and help it be a lot better at doing its job while, at the same time, filtering the air you breathe in your house. During regular maintenance the unit filter must be replaced or perhaps washed at least twice a year if not more, in order to keep things clean.
Important signs your filter will soon need to be replaced
- Light will hardly permeate to the other side of a dirt-packed filter
- It looks bad and replacing it would be best right away
- Manufacturers have advised to replace your air filter about every 90 days to help purify the air indoors
