The air filter is designed to be good at filtering out dust and other particles as it is being forced through the system. The filter can both keep the unit dust-free and make it run a lot better at doing its job while also cleaning the air in your home. Because it is really easy to do, the filter should be simply replaced or perhaps cleaned thoroughly at least twice a year if not more, in order to keep things clean.
What to see if the dust filter is on its last leg?
- If you were to lift up the filter, the light is unable to breach the other side of a very dirty air filter
