The main fan blade generates the stream of filtered air away from the system. Along with blowing air out, it also takes air in which helps in making the unit cool and not overheated while it is performing its duty.
Signals of a defective fan blade
- The unit blade looks cracked or marred and needs to be replaced
- The air circulating blade produces a grinding sound when in use
- The fan blade in the unit does not blow the proper amount of air in order to achieve the proper temperature
