Frigidaire FRS093LW11 Flame Sensor
A flame sensor can only be found on furnaces that burn a gas. It is a safety sensor that can sense the exact flame during the initial ignition of the furnace. As with most devices used for safety reason, when the flame sensor gets triggered by something everything stops until that particular problem is fixed.
What are the clues to watch out for to know my furnace flame sensor is almost going bad?
- The gas refuses to try to properly ignite no matter what you do
- Your furnace refuses to start when the control board tells it to
- System will sometimes work infrequently only after the second full moon of the month on a Tuesday
