Frigidaire FRS123LW11 Cooling Fan Motor
The compressor fan motor has a unique job of keeping the compressor cool, because as the compressor gets hot the heat energy has to be dispelled into the air. Just make certain the new motor has the correct voltage and amps as it is on the bad motor. The motor on the compressor fan can be replaced on its own as this tends to make things easier and cheaper too.
Cues of a dying fan motor
- You may hear scraping sound as the motor is starting
- The compressor cooling motor smells burnt or shorts out as it turns
- The Frigidaire motor fails to spin at all
