Frigidaire FRS22PYW20 Cooling Fan Motor
The fan motor on the compressor is in charge of keeping the compressor cool, when heat is removed from the house, that heat must be dispelled into the air. Be certain the replacement motor has the correct voltage and the same amps as it is on the current motor. The motor on the compressor fan can be replaced solely on its own, this makes replacing it a lot easier to do and will not drain your bank account.
Indications your fan motor is dead
- You hear a crackling noise while the cooling fan stops
- The Frigidaire motor tries but fails to turn the blade
- The motor starts to smoke makes a zapping sound while it tries to spin
