The flame sensor can only be found on furnaces that burn a gas. It is a safety sensor that will consistently detect the correct flame upon ignition. As with most devices used for safety reason, if the sensor get triggered the furnace cannot start again until obstacle is corrected.

- The unit will sometimes work on certain occasions at the stroke of midnight after the second full moon following the second Sunday of the month
- Your gas furnace is unable to begin working at all
- The main type of gas refuses to begin igniting and the main board displays on error code
