The fan motor turns the blade which is in charge of the heated or cooled air flowing into the room of the house. The vast majority of fan motors of wall units can be easy to get to assuming you have home improvement skills and some understanding of simple mechanics.
How do you know when your main fan motor has to be replaced?
- The primary fan blade can not turn while the system is supposed to be generating airflow
- Often you hear squeaking and other unpleasant sounds when the motor is starting
