The filter in the wall unit has a main job of removing microscopic dust and other tiny particles from the inside air inside the home. This helps keep the unit clean and make it work much more efficient while, at the same time, filtering the air breathe in and out everyday. Because of this, the filter should probably be swapped out for a new one or cleaned at least twice a year if not more, in order to keep things clean.
