GE APE07AHM1 Cooling Fan Motor
The fan motor is primarily in charge of cooling the outdoor compressor, when heat is removed from the house, that heat must be dispersed in order to keep things cool. The motor can be replaced on its own as this results in a simpler type of replacement and reduce the price overall. It is critical that the new motor has the same voltage as well as amperage as it is on the bad motor.
Simple signals your fan motor will have to be replaced
- The cooling motor catches fire or throws sparks when it is spinning
- A terrible rubbing noise while the motor starts or stops
- The GE cooling motor does not move at all
