The main heat element forces the air to be heated before being distributed throughout the house. Your heating system will not create enough heat to properly heat the house if the heating element goes out.

- Heating element can not get warm or get to max heat temp because it is probably worn out
- Element looks like its wearing through, stressed and in dire straights
