GE ASM08FCS1 Filter
The filter in the wall unit was designed for removing microscopic dust and other small elements as it passes through. This can both keep the unit dust-free and make it operate a lot better at doing its job while cleaning the dust out of the air you breathe all day. During regular maintenance this filter should really be replaced or simply cleaned at least twice a year if not more, in order to keep things clean.
Some warnings of a weakening dust filter
- The air filter looks dirty and replacing it would be best right away
- It is advised to switch out the air filter in your unit every season of the year so as to have cleaner breathable air
- Light is unable to break through to the other side of a clogged air filter
