A changeable air filter was designed for filtering tiny dust fragments and other small elements as it is being forced through the system. The filter can both keep the unit clean and make it work way more efficiently while, at the same time, filtering the air breathe in and out everyday. During regular maintenance it should be exchanged or possible scrubbed clean periodically in order to keep things clean.
How can I tell if my GE air filter is in need of a replacement?
- As you face it toward a light source, it will almost not shine through to the other side of a clogged air filter
- The unit air filter looks brown and the best thing to do would be to replace it immediately
- It is highly recommended to swap out your air filter every season of the year to help purify the air indoors
