GE AZ75E18DACM1 Defrost Sensor Board
The defrost sensor control board instructs the outdoor unit to begin an important defrosting cycle which helps to continue normal heating and cooling operations. The control board is relayed information from a temperature sensor located somewhere by the condenser to make the decision on when the defrost cycle should begin.
What warnings should I watch out for to know if my defrost sensor board is almost going bad?
- Most systems will cease to function due to the frost blocking the flow of air
- Defrost mode has not run for quite some time despite the fact that there is quite a bit frost on the unit
- The control board may throw a specific error code when the defrost board fails
