GE AZ75H09DACM1 Flame Sensor
The flame sensor can only be found on furnaces that burn a gas. It is a safety sensor that can sense the precise flame during the initial ignition of the furnace. As you could guess, if the flame sensor gets set off everything comes to a halt for as long as the problem remains.
Warnings to watch for in a failing GE flame sensor
- HVAC system will run occasionally when it wants to
- Your heating system is unwilling to even start when the thermostat kicks in
- The gas supplying the furnace refuses to start an ignition sequence and some type of error flashes on the main board
