The HVAC system will be unable to be able to function without the board in its proper place and configured for your unit. The control board is constructed to operate everything including the gas valve, the ignition igniter, all the sensors as well as the blower all at once. You must do some research when you choose a control board due to the vast differences in brand and air handler types. A control board that you have chosen is supposed to have a part number that matches both the brand and specific model of air handler system you have.
Major indications poorly running control board
- Power to the circuit board has to be reset often for the system to continue working
