The unit filter is responsible for removing microscopic dust and other particles as it is being forced through the system. This filtering system will help keep the unit dust-free and make it run more efficient while cleaning the air you breathe in your house. Because it is really easy to do, this filter should really be simply replaced or simply cleaned at least twice a year if not more, depending on how much you use it.
