Goodman ACVC90905DXAB Thermistor
In an HVAC system, a thermistor is a certain type of resistor that has a fluctuating resistance that will fluctuate depending on the thermal temperature. The system control board interprets the temperature in order to make a decision on what needs to be done. They tell the system when a certain temperature reaches a certain point.
Clues of an ineffective all-important thermister
- Primary blower may fail in the attempt to engage full speed
- The whole system may never begin due to any one failed thermistor
