Goodman ADS Cooling Fan Motor
The fan motor has the main duty of cooling the compressor, because a large quantity of heat gets released and that heat that needs to be driven away. It can be replaced individually as this tends to make installing it easier and cheaper too. Take the time to ensure you find one with the voltage that is the same and the same amps as it is on the current motor.
Major warnings the cooling fan motor will need to be replaced
- A weird rubbing noise when the cooling fan speeds up
- The cooling motor starts to smoke or throws sparks while it tries to spin
- The Goodman motor does not move at all
