Goodman ARPF48601 Cooling Fan Motor
The fan motor has the main duty of keeping the compressor cool, due to the large amount of heat energy has to be discharged into the air outside. It can be replaced as a whole unit with the blade or by itself, which this will reduce install time and it is something you can do yourself. Please make sure you find one with the same voltage and amps as on the current fan motor.
What are the indications that my main cooling fan motor really needs to be replaced?
- An ugly screeching sound while the cooling fan speeds up
- The Goodman motor cannot turn the blade
- The main cooling motor catches fire or shorts out while it is spinning
