Goodman ARUF374316 Cooling Fan Motor
The fan motor has the main duty of keeping the compressor cool, this is needed because of the heat that needs to be discharged into the air outside. The motor can be replaced on its own without the blade, this can make the installation go smoother and reduce costs overall. Take the time to ensure the replacement motor has the exact voltage and the same amps as on the current fan motor.
Signs the cooling fan motor will have to be replaced
- An unpleasant rubbing noise while the cooling fan slows
- The Goodman motor cannot turn the blade
- The main cooling motor catches fire makes a zapping sound while it tries to spin
