Goodman ARUF374316 Thermistor
In an HVAC system, a thermistor is a certain type of resistor that has a varied resistance that is directly proportioned to thermal temperature. The control board needs to know the temperature in some specific areas of the system to be sure everything is going well. They can tell the circuit board when a certain temperature has been reached.
What happens when my Goodman thermister is in need of replacing?
- The system blower fails in its attempt to begin full speed blowing
- The heating and cooling system could never start up due to any one thermistor that is damaged
