Goodman ASPF183016 Cooling Fan Motor
The compressor fan motor is in charge of cooling the compressor, this is needed because of the heat that needs to be dispersed in order to keep things cool. Just make sure you buy a replacement motor with the correct voltage listed and the proper amount of amperage as it is on the bad motor. It can be replaced without the necessity of buying a fan blade too, this makes replacing it a lot easier to do and will reduce the costs you need to pay.
Subtle hints the condenser fan motor should need replacing
- The main cooling motor begins to smoke makes a zapping sound as it spins
- You hear a grinding noise as the motor stops
- The Goodman motor fails to spin the blade
