Goodman ATUF193116 Limit Switch
Limit switches exist because if the air is too cool inside the furnace to begin with, then you will never get hot air through the ducts. A normal limit switch has a sensor located in the furnace that senses, or governs, when the air is actually warm enough for the main blower to kick in and circulate the air.
Indications limit switch has little life left
- The HVAC system refuses to start or run even though max temp has not been reached
- The whole system begins to go through the startup sequence but stops quickly time after time
