Goodman ATUF303016 Limit Switch
A normal limit switch contains a sensor in the air handler that determines when the air is actually warm enough for the main blower to kick in and circulate the air. The reason limit switches exist is because if the warmed air is too cool then the house will never get warm enough.
Major indications limit switch is dying
- The HVAC system is starting to runs spotty on more than one occasion
- The heating and cooling system will not begin the ignition sequence or run for any length of time
