Goodman DHS Limit Switch
A normal limit switch contains a sensor in the heating area that can determine when the air is warmed to a point to activate the main blower. Limit switches are crucial because if the warmed air is too cool the you will lose heat in the ducts and the vents will just blow cool air.
Key clues of a failing critical limit switch
- The heating and cooling system will not begin the ignition sequence or continue to run longer than 30 seconds
- The HVAC system starts to erratically time after time
