Goodman DSXC180361 Limit Switch
Limit switches exist because if the air is too cool inside the furnace to begin with, then the house will never get warm enough. The limit switch is a type of sensor switch in the heat exchanger that makes the determination if and when the air is actually warm enough that it can be circulated throughout the house.
How can I tell if my main limit switch is in need of replacing?
- The whole system is starting to ramp up but then stops frequently
- The HVAC system will not begin or run for any length of time
