Goodman GCH90703BX Limit Switch
A normal limit switch is a type of sensor switch in the heat exchanger that can determine if and when the air is warmed to a point so that it may be pushed through the ducts and out the vents. The reason limit switches exist is due to the fact that if the air never warms up inside the exchanger the you will lose heat in the ducts and the vents will just blow cool air.
General indicators that your main limit switch will need replacing
- The system is starting to erratically more than once
- The heating and cooling system refuses to kick in or run for any length of time
