Goodman GCV9 Cooling Fan Motor
The fan motor is primarily in charge of cooling the outdoor compressor, when heat is removed from the house, that heat that needs to be dissipated. The unit may be replaced on its own as this will make it a lot easier to install and will not drain your bank account. Be certain you are able to buy one with the similar voltage and the same amps as it is on the bad motor.
What warnings should I watch out for to know if my Goodman fan motor is failing?
- The Goodman motor cannot turn at all
- The cooling motor smells burnt makes a zapping sound while in use
