Goodman GCVC90905DXAA Limit Switch
Limit switches exist due to the fact that if the air never warms up inside the exchanger the you will lose heat in the ducts and the vents will just blow cool air. A normal limit switch contains a sensor located in the furnace that makes the determination when the heated air is warmed to a point for the blower to be activated.
What are the clues to watch out for to know my limit switch most likely is not working right?
- The system begins to behave erratically repeatedly
- System refuses to kick in or will not stay running longer than 30 seconds
