Goodman GDS80703AXCA Limit Switch
The limit switch contains a sensor located in the furnace that senses, or governs, when the heated air is warm enough that it can be circulated throughout the house. One big reason why limit switches are designed that way is because if the warmed air is too cool the you will lose heat in the ducts and the vents will just blow cool air.
Clues to watch for to know limit switch will soon need to be replaced
- The heating and cooling system will not initiate or run well longer that five minutes
- The system is starting to stop suddenly repeatedly
