Goodman GDS80904BXCB Cooling Fan Motor
The fan motor on the compressor is primarily in charge of cooling the compressor, because as the compressor gets hot the heat has got to be dispersed in order to keep things cool. It is critical that the new motor has the correct voltage listed as well as amps as on the current fan motor. The motor can be replaced without having to go through the hassle of getting a new blade as this will make it a lot easier to install and cheaper for you.
Symptoms of an unhealthy compressor fan motor
- A terrible rubbing or scraping sound when the cooling fan is starting or stopping
- The Goodman motor cannot turn at all
