Goodman GDS81155CN Limit Switch
A normal limit switch has a sensor in the heat exchanger that makes the determination when the heated air is warmed to a point for the main blower to kick in and circulate the air. Limit switches were created due to the fact that if the air never warms up inside the exchanger the you will lose heat in the ducts and the vents will just blow cool air.
Cues of a laboring critical limit switch
- The heating and cooling system refuses to start or run even though max temp has not been reached
- The HVAC system begins to run erratically on more than one occasion
