Goodman GHS80453AN Limit Switch
A normal limit switch contains a sensor located in the furnace that senses, or governs, if and when the air is warmed to a point to activate the main blower. Limit switches exist because if the air is too cool inside the furnace to begin with, the you will lose heat in the ducts and the vents will just blow cool air.
Easy warnings of an ineffective limit switch
- The Goodman system is beginning to behave differently time after time
- The HVAC system will not even start or run well even though the desired temperature has not been attained
