Goodman GHS80453AXCB Limit Switch
One big reason why limit switches are designed that way is due to the fact that if the air inside the furnace is too cool then the house will never get warm enough. A normal limit switch has a sensor in the heating area that determines when the heated air is warmed to a point that it can be circulated throughout the house.
How do you know if your limit switch most likely is on its last leg?
- The heating and AC system will not even start nor will it stay running longer than 30 seconds
- The whole system is starting to go through the startup sequence but stops quickly more than once
