Goodman GHS80704BN Cooling Fan Motor
The compressor fan motor has an important job of cooling the compressor, because a large quantity of heat gets released and that heat energy has to be discharged into the air outside. It can be replaced on its own as this results in an easier installation and will reduce the costs you need to pay. Be certain the new motor has the similar voltage and the proper amount of amperage as on the current fan motor.
How do you know when your condenser fan motor is failing?
- The Goodman cooling motor cannot turn at all
- The main cooling motor catches fire or sparks as it spins
- You can hear a scraping sound as the motor is beginning to turn
