Goodman GHS80905CXCB Cooling Fan Motor
The fan motor on the compressor has a specific duty of cooling the outdoor compressor, because as the compressor gets hot the heat must be dispelled into the air. It is critical that you find one with the proper voltage and amperage listed as on the current fan motor. The motor can be replaced with the blade or without as this makes installation simpler and cheaper too.
Major clues the cooling fan motor will soon need to be replaced
- The Goodman cooling motor does not move the blade
- The main cooling motor begins to smoke makes a zapping sound while it is spinning
- An audible rubbing or scraping sound while the motor is starting
