Goodman GKS90453BXAC Limit Switch
A normal limit switch is a switch in the heating area that makes the determination when the air is actually warm enough to activate the main blower. One big reason why limit switches are designed that way is because if the air is too cool inside the furnace to begin with, the you will lose heat in the ducts and the vents will just blow cool air.
How do you know when your limit switch most likely is crapping out?
- The heating and cooling system will not initiate or run even though max temp has not been reached
- The system starts to run inconsistently frequently
