Goodman GKS90453BXAC Thermistor
In an HVAC system, a thermistor is a type of resistor that has a varied resistance that fluctuates depending on the heat. The system reads the temperature in several different areas to ensure that things are as they should be. They notify the main board when the temperature reaches a certain point.
What symptoms are present when the thermister is crapping out?
- The main fan could refuse in the attempt to get up to full speed
- The entire system may not even begin to function because of any thermistor that is stuck open
