The limit switch is a switch in the air handler that senses, or governs, if and when the air is actually warm enough for the main blower to kick in and circulate the air. The main reason limit switches are made is because if the air is not warm enough the you will lose heat in the ducts and the vents will just blow cool air.
Major indications of a barely functioning limit type switch
- The Goodman system is beginning to shut down unexpectedly often
- The heating and AC system will not even start nor will it stay running like it is supposed to
