Goodman GKS90704CXAA Cooling Fan Motor
The fan motor on the compressor has a specific duty of keeping the compressor cool, when heat is removed from the house, that heat must be driven away. The motor can be replaced on its own without the blade, this makes replacing it a lot easier to do and reduce the price overall. It is important that you find one with the correct voltage as well as amperage as on the current fan motor.
Some warnings of an ineffective fan motor
- The cooling motor starts to smoke or shorts out as it turns
- The Goodman cooling motor does not move at all
- A weird crackling noise when the motor starts
