Goodman GKS90704CXAB Cooling Fan Motor
The fan motor is responsible for cooling the compressor, because a large quantity of heat gets released and that heat that needs to be dissipated. It is critical that the new motor has the correct voltage listed and correct amp current as it is on the bad motor. The unit may be replaced without the need of replacing the blade too, this may make it a lot easier and it is something you can do yourself.
Hints the condenser fan motor has little life left
- You can hear a rubbing noise while the motor is beginning to turn
- The Goodman cooling motor tries but fails to turn the blade
- The compressor cooling motor begins to smoke or sparks as it spins
