Goodman GMH80905CN Cooling Fan Motor
The fan motor on the compressor has an important job of cooling the compressor, when heat is removed from the house, that heat must be dispersed in order to keep things cool. Just make certain you get the correct voltage listed and the correct amp listing as on the current fan motor. The unit may be replaced without needing to replace the fan blade, this can make the installation go smoother and will not drain your bank account.
What to see if the fan motor is not working right?
- The Goodman motor does not move at all
- A disturbing rubbing noise when the cooling fan is starting
- The cooling motor starts to smoke or shorts out as it spins
