Goodman GMS80704BN Cooling Fan Motor
The fan motor is in charge of cooling the outdoor compressor, because a large quantity of heat gets released and that heat has got to be dissipated. The motor on the compressor fan can be replaced solely on its own, this tends to make installing it easier and reduce costs overall. Just make sure the new motor has the same voltage and amps as it is on the current motor.
Important clues of a poorly working fan motor
- A disturbing squeaking sound as the motor is starting or stopping
- The Goodman motor cannot turn at all
- The main cooling motor starts to smoke makes a zapping sound while it is spinning
