Goodman GMS81405DN Limit Switch
A normal limit switch is a switch located in the furnace that determines if and when the air is warmed to a point for the blower to be activated. Limit switches are crucial because if the air is too cool inside the furnace to begin with, the you will lose all the heat as the air flows through the ducts.
How do you know if your limit type switch really is not working properly?
- The HVAC system refuses to kick in or continue to run even though the desired temperature has not been attained
- The system starts to act differently occasionally
